About Regent Street Cattery

About the Owners
Sue and Lionel Roberts have been hospitality professionals for most of their careers. They have owned and run some fantastic landmark pubs in London and Northamptonshire, and more recently have freelanced running the hospitality restaurants at venues including Silverstone, Leicester Tigers and Wolves at Molineau stadium as well as at other major events such as the Chelsea Flower Show.
During the pandemic and the subsequent halt to the hospitality industry, they decided to realise a long-held dream and open their own cattery. As lifelong cat lovers and owners and unable to imagine life without a houseful of felines to keep them company, as well as decades of hospitality experience a cat hotel was a natural progression. To complement their expertise in hospitality Sue has also undertaken qualifications in Feline first aid.

About the Cattery
The Regent Street Cattery is a boutique, eco-friendly cat hotel nestled in our back garden. It is designed with sustainability in mind, featuring ground screws to protect the local wildlife, rainwater harvesting, and a fully insulated, double glazed structure for year round comfort.
We are proud of the space we have created, sized such that we can spend time with each of our guests and truly get to know them. We understand that each cat is an individual, and we treat them as such. Our aim is to ensure that each cat is relaxed, comfortable and feels safe with us, so that their people can leave them with confidence and relax themselves. Each suite has a raised sleeping area, a large recreation area and plenty of high spaces and hiding spaces. We offer a variety of bed options to suit each individual cat, as well as various options of climbing / scratching posts again to suit each guest.
When we opened in July 2024 we were awarded the highest possible rating for a new cattery and aim to provide only the best service and facilities for you and for our guests.
Our Masters and Mistresses
We are currently servants to 4 masters that have agreed to live with us on a permanent basis. They and their forebears have trained us well in the fine art of cat pleasing, and we make sure to maintain only the high standards they would accept in everything we do

Lulu
Our resident Diva. Joined us at 6 months old as a rescue. Obviously descended from cat aristocracy. Beautiful, aloof, skittish, and a skilled huntress.

Ralphie
The Boss. Another rescue joined us as a companion for Lulu but has grown into the role of master of all he surveys. Nothing happens that he doesn’t know about. His training has ensured that we fully understand that as underlings our job is to serve, and be quick about it.

JoJo
Our failed foster. Sue took him in temporarily as his previous family we not suited to a kitten in their midst. He was due to stay for 2 weeks, 2 years ago. The funniest, gentlest young cat ever. His favourite occupation currently is fish bothering in the small ornamental water feature Finn made for our patio. The fish are quite safe in all this.

Jasmin
A long-term visitor came as a sidekick to our son Finn. Totally devoted to him, but will accept service from us if absolutely necessary. Fiercely protective of our territory, she has mastered the art of chasing intruders on 3 legs whilst whacking them with the fourth. This has to be seen to be believed, as she is tiny with very short legs!

Puss Puss
Our regular visitor. Visits with his servant every week or two. Accepts our hospitality and contributes to our ongoing training. Has been part of our extended cat family for 8 years so considers himself to be the elder statesman.
